Life in midtown is sometimes challenging...
If
we think globally, we have to recognize that our feast
sometimes
comes through those who work another's fields
and are not always fairly
paid for their labor.
If we think locally, we
have to recognize that
while most
of us are very well fed
we walk among many who are starving.
And this is as true of our hearts and spirits as our stomachs.
Famine takes many forms.
The most meager meal,
sometimes provided by the generosity of others,
can
be a greater feast than the most sumptuous banquet.
