Yet Harvest recognizes and celebrates our part in cultivating our lives.

To borrow the figurative language of the farm,
we plant the seed but we rely on rain to water the fields,
we pull up weeds but we rely on the sun to provide energy for growth,
by our effort we bring in a harvest that partly is due to our effort, and
partly due to the collaboration of the earth and the forces of nature.

And it is no less true when our work is in a midtown office.
We cultivate our careers in collaboration with those around us,
ultimately bringing in a harvest that is
partly the product of our effort, and
partly pure gift.
